The Test Centre of the Heat Exchanger Engineering Technology and Research Centre of Shandong Province registered with Weifang Civil Administration Bureau is a science and technology institute with legal person qualification. It employs 36 engineering and technical persons, among whom 17 are undergraduates, 15 are college graduates, 3 are senior engineers and 11 are engineers. The Test Centre performs various tests and inspection, and issues test certificates according to related radiator standards at home and abroad, such as JB/T8577-2005 <Technical Conditions of Internal Combustion Engine Radiators>, QC/T468-1999 <Technical Conditions of Automobile Radiators>, JB/T10408-2004 <Reliability Test Methods of Internal Combustion Engine Radiators>, GB/T10125-1997 <Corrosion Test ¨C Salt Spray Test under Artificial Environment>, GB/T2423-93 <Salt Spray Test Methods>, JB/T10506-2005 <Technical Conditions of Internal Combustion Engine Pressurized Air Coolers>, Japan Komatsu KES06.703.1 <Reliability Test of Heat Exchangers> and another Japanese industrial standards JISD1614-1991 <Radiation Test Methods of Automobile Radiators>, etc.. For years, the Test Centre has continuously renewed its testing equipment and instruments. The old vibration test stand and the duration test stand were replaced with new ones in 1996 and 1998 respectively. A new protrusion tester with digital display and a hardness tester were bought. The computer controlled tube blast testing machine and the radiator core leaking tester were innovated in collaboration with Jinan Iron Casting and Forging Research Institute. In 2002, our Test Centre and the Northwest Industrial University mutually developed China¡¯s first and most advanced radiator air tunnel testing equipment whose various parameters are collected and controlled by computers. It can be used to test the radiation performance of large-sized engineering equipment radiators and small-sized motorcycle radiators. This instrument is the first unit within China¡¯s radiator industry. In 2007, the Test Centre completed the new laboratory building with total investment of RMB20,000,000 and bought new universal material testing machines, such as foil stretching tester, salt spray tester, high and low temperature testing machine, hot pounding testing machine, internal corrosion testing machine and electric vibration testing stand, etc.. All those machines are controlled by computers. Working together with China Aviation Dynamics Research Institute, the Test Centre made innovations on the existing air tunnel testing machine which is now able to test charge air coolers and oil radiators. The acquisition of such various testing equipment or instruments have injected new energy to the Test Centre which has been made to hold a safe lead in China¡¯s same industry. The Test Centre can mainly undertake tests or inspections of the following radiator indexes: 1, Wind resistance, water (oil,air) resistance and radiation volume of water radiators. Charge air collers and oil radiators; 2, Combined test for water radiators, charge air collers and oil radiators; 3, High temperature and pressure proof pulse tests of water radiators, charge air coolers and oil coolers; 4, Vibration test of water radiators, charge air coolers and oil radiators; 5, Salt spray corrosion test of water radiators, charge air coolers and oil radiators; 6, High and low temperature test of water radiators, charge air coolers and oil radiators; 7, Pounding test of water radiators, charge air coolers and oil radiators; 8, Internal corrosion test of water radiators, charge air coolers and oil radiators; 9, Airtight sealing test of water radiators, air charge coolers and oil radiators; The Test Centre passed the accreditation made by the National Accreditation Commission of China Laboratory Authorities on June 18, 2003 and obtained the Measure Qualification Certificate issued by Shandong Province Quality and Technology Supervision Bureau on July 9 of the same year. The Test Centre warmly welcome friends of the same radiator trade from within China and abroad to come to the Centre to test their products.
